It’s always easy to tell an *sshole how you feel about them, right?

But when someone you truly adore, someone who generally offers you empathy and allegiance, acts in an uncharacteristically hurtful or dishonest way, you have a responsibility to hold them to account. This is the down & dirty side of relationships: character is tested, reactions are as important as actions, mutual respect is refined.

To me, there is nothing more disarming and humbling than confrontation with someone that you love.
